For more than a year, seniors have been moving along the timeline of their college search and application process and they’ve reached the final step — revisiting those colleges to which they’ve been accepted to decide which one is the right one. And now, with the closing of college campuses, that plan has changed and we are all — students, parents, college advisors, and college admissions offices — in unchartered waters. While uncertainty can bring with it some anxiety, I encourage seniors to do two things: accept their situation, but take action.
In his most recent Forbes article, The COVID College Choice: How To Pick A College During A Global Pandemic, Brennan Barnard lays out some things that seniors can do to gather the information they need to decide where they want to go to college in the fall. Read the article, do your research, and seek the information you need to make this important decision. There is still much you can do to finish your college process with intention even if these waters are unchartered.
